My jewellery practice is broad, covering both exhibition and a series of production ranges. I love to experiment with materials and processes. An extensive range of my production work (and a few one-off exhibition pieces) can be found for sale at my gallery and workshop, Studio 20/17 Project Space. One day I’ll get around to updating my website with more work but these days I’m having fun on instagram so that’s where you’ll see what I’ve been up to lately. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Coming From Nothing was inspired by the freedom that both a place and mental space of emptiness can bring. It allows for fresh, new ideas and pure creativity
The Palawan Pebble collection was inspired by a walk along a pebble beach in Palawan, Philippines. At the end of the beach was a beautiful and cooling, freshwater waterfall, which fell into cascading waterholes, before merging with the saltwater of the ocean. It was both incredibly invigorating and relaxing to spend time floating in the cool water after the long hot walk.
The Rajasthani Lights series is a limited production series incorporating emeralds, rubies and sapphires sourced while travelling in Rajasthan, alongside elements of cold enamel. More recently I have incorporated other precious gemstones. Memories of the richness and saturation of colour in India inspired this series.
Rajasthani Bands were inspired by the natural organic hand made quality of craftmanship in the streets of India. Originally utilising gemstones sourced on my travels to India, I’ve now expanded the range to include a broader range of precious gemstones. I also enjoy making rings in this series from customers gold and gemstones.
