“I have always been a dawdler, the kind of child to run a stick along a picket fence, to investigate a rock pool at the beach, to spend too long observing the world. A tinkerer and dismantler of toys. A lover of gadgets and tools. I like to see the makers’ hand, the brush strokes and file marks. It is the making that is most valuable to me, the process of creation and investigation, I am very happy that the making process influences design.”
