I’ve occasionally held small fund raising events at my home to raise money for charity and thought we could do something along these lines. I would invite a select number of people to come and listen to you and your partner for a small fee that would then be donated to Oz Harvest. Is this something that resonates with you? If so, would you like to give me a few dates that might work as an option for you and we can tee something up? B

Can you clarify a couple of things for me? how much time would you need for setup and do you need anything from me for this? Chairs? Power?  Will you do like a couple of sets, or how do you envisage it working? Is there anything else you think I need to know? – B

Sorry I haven’t sent you anything yet. Have been busy at work during the week and avoiding screen time after hours. Time for some serious action now as I read your last mail-out and realised you were probably hoping to add the bio stuff there. Sorry for the delay, it’s here. My band is called My Sauce Good. I would like to get our percussionist to join as well and I’ll pay him out of my pocket to make the sound feel more full. Dirk (partner and guitarist) and I might do one set together and we’ll do the second set with the percussionist as well. I’ll let you know once I hear back from Tim. Hiya quick q re chairs/setup. Planning on setting it up so people will basically sit down and listen to you rather than mingle around standing etc….but just wondering what your expectations are? Do you anticipate it like this or more of a background thing with people moving around to help themselves to drinks etc. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but haven’t put on an event like this before and want to respect your art form. B

No I don’t have a PA. I don’t know much about music things at all. I can do a call out to friends but they are mainly in the visual arts not music industry. B

Glad the PA system worked out ok. I forgot to mention that if you have any promo material etc for your band please feel free to bring it along. I’ve got some flyers from OzHarvest too. I’ll also do a little donation box on the night so if I get enough funds I’m happy to pass on to you to contribute to the cost of your percussionist. Looking forward to it. B
