Melinda Young

A fascination with the narrative evoked by objects fuels Melinda Young’s exhibition work, which embraces ornamentation, pattern, colour and surface texture. For her, everything is precious, even the ephemeral – it is the story behind it – that marker of individual or shared time, place and experience that creates meaning and value.

Melinda completed a Master of Visual Arts, (Jewellery and Object Design), Sydney College of the Arts (SCA), University of Sydney in 2002.  She has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally.
