“The art of a people is a true mirror to their minds.” – Jawaharlal Nehru

In this exhibition, five artists respond to the word ‘Mirror’ in its many physical and figurative forms. Through exploring their chosen concept, each artist has developed a body of work to demonstrate the varying responses to a single word.

Concepts include the intertwining of perception and reality, the self and changing reflections as well as containment of an image. With each of these view points, the exhibition will demonstrate the unique and varying ability of an artist to capture meaning in object. Forming, sculpting and fabrication, among many other specialised techniques, Mirror will see each individual react to the concept in a varied and thought provoking way.

Artists: Amelia Down, Ashleigh Moore, Margaret Park, Rei Mai and Tanya Da Silva.
