Description
“This breastplate was made for a young eco-warrior woman who stands firm against the might of our corporate and political ‘leaders’. I started making this work whilst visiting my husband’s ancestral home in a mountain village of the Philippines, surrounded by unseasonal forest fires, while watching villagers carry bought water home on their shoulders because their local springs had run dry.” – Bridget Kennedy.
2019, repurposed, handcut cracked melamine kitchen bowls, argentium, secondhand silver ‘rope’ necklace.
Finalist JMGA Profile Award 2019.
