Materials and processes are the driving force of Sian’s practice and it is through these, in the act of making, with curiosity, experiment and play that her work emerges. Sian has a keen interest in the sensual nature of materials and the forms she produces require a tactile interaction to translate entirely.
Sian completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Jewellery and Metals at Monash University in 2009 where she received the Dr Anne Lewis Award. She is a recipient of an Australia Council ArtStart grant. She was most recently selected for the prestigious National Contemporary Jewellery Award, 2012, Griffith Regional Gallery.
