It's heartbreaking to hear what's happening to bee

It's heartbreaking to hear what's happening to bees at the moment. If you haven't heard, 'Varroa Destructor' mites have been taking over honeybee colonies.

These earrings are from 'In Memory of Bees', a series I started in 2012. Made with real beeswax which melts away with wear - a symbol for our impact on the environment.

It gives me some relief to know that our native bees aren't affected by the varroa mites. Let's keep them protected!

Now this was a fun project! This couple are both creatives so we wanted to make this engagement ring unique. We went for an alternative-style keeper ring. A beautiful champagne diamond with brass.

I had a great time putting this one together with @robertinozambrano and love the result! It's always fun to see what people come up with in the Projectspace studio!

Who says I don't have a life?!?! Actually made it across the bridge today to see this stunner of a show of PhD work by @bictieustudio and a coffee catchup with the gorgeous artist herself. It's on for a couple more weeks and is well worth a visit. @lizwilliamsonweaver has a poetic ongoing weaving project exhibited in the space as well.

A quiet and rainy day in the Projectspace so decided to rearrange some displays to freshen up the space.

The temptation was too much and I tried on a pair of medium pod earrings by Sydney jeweller @jenny_fahey_jewels_etc end result...I now own a new pair of earrings.

Its amazing how a pair of earrings can really lift an existing outfit. In my very full life at the moment, I've gone from day to night just with an earring swap (and sometimes a statement ring for extra pizazz).

What's your favourite life hack on how to go from day to night events with minimum time and effort? I'd love to hear.
