'Little Melt Drop Earrings' in Oxidised Sterling Silver

As the little sister to my Big Melt earring collection, these earrings are perfect for someone who loves the design of my Big Melt earrings but wants someone a little more subtle.

The Melt series is inspired by the small holes that form above blades of grass when snow is melting and the new growth is starting to show.

These earrings, handmade by me, are also available online in Sterling Silver and Gold Plated Sterling Silver.

As a contemporary artist, my practice often revolves around a closed-loop economy where we continue to reuse the Earth's finite resources, without waste, for a more abundant future.

Everything I’m redoing, remaking and recreating is supporting a world where I strive to reduce, reuse, repair, recreate, refurbish, recycle.

My remakeries have been focused on using people's heirloom or damaged jewellery and metals to create new pieces of jewellery. This has been incredibly rewarding as these pieces often hold so much personal meaning and also allow me to move towards my vision of a connected, resilient and sustainable creative community.

By re-making your old jewellery instead of buying something new, you not only gain a new piece of jewellery you can wear and love. More importantly, is the satisfaction of knowing you're contributing to creating a more plentiful future for generations to come.

Just finished another COVID-19 handmade copper ring for someone wanting a hopeful reminder during these challenging times.

The ring is handmade using copper, known for its antibacterial properties, and is hand stamped with the Persian Sufi adage ‘this too shall pass’ to reflect the temporary nature of the human condition.

The ring can also be made to order in gold or silver (from unloved jewellery or new metal) or even in a bangle or necklace if you'd prefer!

It's the first day of spring, which also means it's National Wattle Day!

I'm so blessed to be surrounded by nature within my garden - full of native and perennial plants now bursting with life.

As my contemporary jewellery works are often inspired by nature, it's biodiversity and our symbiotic relationship with nature, spring really brings this to full force!

One of my favourites, the wattle, is known for its resilience and diversity, - themes I continue to explore in my creative works.

As our national floral emblem, the wattle can also serve as a symbol of hope, resilience and unity - something I'm sure we all need a little of right now, especially those in the creative industry.
