This sterling silver ring is set with a single hydrothermal emerald, created using a process which uses heat and pressure to slowly imitate the natural conditions deep in the earth.

These lab-created emeralds are real emeralds and identical in composition, but not a naturally created emerald that’s been dug out of the ground. Synthetic emeralds are some of the most expensive synthetic gems. Whilst a lab-created emerald isn’t nearly as valuable as a natural emerald, it’s considered a more ethical alternative to mined emeralds.
