‘Stronger Together’ is one of four rings from the ongoing limited edition series ‘Coming From Nothing’, inspired by the freedom that both a place and mental space of emptiness can bring. It allows for fresh, new ideas and pure creativity. Every year a limited series of one-off rings are made (usually 3) to reflect on the year that was.
On reflecting on the year 2023, it was important to make four (rather than the usual three) rings based on my reflection on the last year as a first-term councillor in local government. One day maybe I’ll write a more extensive series description but for now, I have few words just my hands to make meaning.
Coming from Nothing Series Statement – Each New Year begins full of nothing except potential. It’s what you put into life that gives it richness and texture. It’s all empty and meaningless really. We then fill it with our own stories and made-up meanings. The worlds we make, from nothing, from everything. Through the years, this reflective series continues, weaving its way in and out, creating a narrative of memories…. artifacts of a life lived.
