Shimara Carlow

Shimara was born in a remote coastal area in West Cork, Southern Ireland. A childhood fascination for collecting shells, stones, mermaids purses’, feathers and pods found along the sea shore has been the inspiration for her work. Shimara completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons, Jewellery and Silversmithing), Glasgow School of Art, 2001. In 2009, she relocated to Melbourne where she works and sells her jewellery and objects both nationally and internationally.
