The new studio is up and running!
If you’re one of my community who’s been waiting for me to get back on track with a remakery job, thank you for your patience and for allowing me time and space to sort things out.
I’ll be honest, it’s been a tough couple of months. There were days when it all just got too hard, and others, when the workshop was finally, well ‘workable’, that I thought that washing lounge room cushions (and maybe the curtains) was more important than getting back to the bench. I realise now that the fog has cleared, that resting was vital (and those cushions really DID need a wash). I was exhausted both mentally and physically. I nearly threw in the towel and thought about getting a job as a chocolate taster (yep, it’s a thing) but now I’m back and looking forward to hanging out in the new space!
It’s lovely and light, there’s room for private wedding ring workshops (thank you Rob and Gabby for being my first couple last weekend – it was fun!!), and the studio is now open 7 days by prior appointment only…so super flexible timewise. There’s a display area for work and plans to hold small private VIP events to showcase new collections of mine and other contemporary jewellery makers in the future.
IN OTHER NEWS…..
Are you interested in learning how to make your own jewellery?
Join me on Wednesdays at Willoughby Art Centre from 19th July. Both classes focus on guiding you through your individual projects at your own pace and are suitable for both beginners and more advanced students. Each with a slightly different bonus option; play with colour or learn how to melt down your old jewellery to make new.
Bookings have now opened. I look forward to spending some time in this terrific teaching studio and hope you can join me.
AND LASTLY…..
I’ll be heading off-grid 30th June for 10 days for another Vipassana Meditation retreat so will be out of communication and will answer any phone calls, emails, DMs SMSs etc when I return.
